10 Extra Whispers is the latest project from Melbourne design collective 10 Extra Spaces - a group of emerging fashion designers and recent graduates from RMIT University’s Bachelor of Design (Fashion).

10 Extra Whispers takes inspiration from the process of Chinese whispers, where each designer works on a bolt of cloth before passing it on to the next. Once each ‘individual hand’ has marked the cloth, 10 Extra Spaces re-groups to decide how the cloth can be reshaped by the group’s ‘collective hand’ to determine a final outcome. The result will be displayed along with documentation of the process.

This project is part of the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program.
