Skin 'N Bones

Skin and Bones - Bus Gallery

presented by BUS Gallery. Opens at PHM Monday 25th February

Is fashion art? We think so. Pat O’Brien invites 13 artists, performers and costume-makers to fantasise about what would be on their catwalk this season. What inspires fashion? Expect the dangerous and outrageous.

Artists: Rebecca Joseph, Nathan Gray, Karla Way, Oliver Hextall, Alexander Ouchtomsky, Dylan Martorell, Helen Johnson, Cait Foran, Grant Gronewold, Danielle Marlow, Sophie Brous with Jason Heller & Lucreccia Quintanilla.

Curator Patrick O’Brien says: “Skin and Bones is a show that celebrates our innermost creativity. Now, as much as when we were young, dressing up has always been a very personal and direct way of expressing who we are, and what we have to say, as well as a lot about our greatest hopes, fears and desires. It’s also a lot of fun.”

Bus is an artist-run initiative, established in 2001, located in Melbourne, Australia.
Bus supports local, national and international artist / curators / designers / sound producers through its annual exhibition calendar and performance program and through numerous off-site initiatives in public spaces, galleries, venues, and events.
