Dawn Tan

An artist from Melbourne, Dawn often makes food the subject of her artworks. The idea of consumption becoming obsessive, how traditional made-from-scratch meals are now replaced often by instant colourful packaged food, serves as a basis for much of the work she creates. Apart from her current practice of making oversized drawings and soft hand sewn fabric sculptures, Dawn also runs an online shop selling hand drawn recipes, tea towels and fabrics.
