Laura Woodward

Laura Woodward creates kinetic, sculptural installations. They play on ideas of the machine, technology, prostheses and the body, yet are intended to remain ambiguous in their readings. Recent works have explored the concept of an introverted kinetic sculpture: kinetic works that draw their logic and action from within, existing not as an extension of the human body, but rather as a manifestation of their own inherent logic.
