NATALIA MILOSZ-PIEKARSKA

Natalia's current is occupied with spirit inhabiting the inanimate. Drawing on philosophy of the Japanese animist religion,Shinto, and talismans and amulets of varying cultures she reflects on the notion that inanimate objects can be imbued with a spirit and has embarked on an exploration into creating collection of wearable objects and artefact that carry a sense of spirit.
Natalia says:
"I have long been drawn to old toys, particularly those made of tin and wood. To me, their honesty and method of manufacture fills them with a life so engaging and seductive, often they appear to have a life of their own. I have taken elements of this manufacture and translated them into my work. "
