Trimäpee’sFALL 2011 Collection “Umbilical Ventriloquial “ is inspired by one of the most amazing gifts of all - the nature and science of birth. From the intriguing way an offspring grows and feeds, to the uncanny bond, which is shared; Trimäpeeexplores the physical connection vs the innate connection between mother and child.

The collection is inspired by the notion of nurturing, comfort and support, by creating garments that shield and protect the wearer. Large collars and wrapped veils portray a sense of security, paired with guard-like strong, tailored forms and silhouettes. These sharp lines are juxtaposed with soft drapery and knitwear, to depict a more fluid and womb-like approach.

The collection is made 100% in Melbourne, with the finest quality fabrics, knits, wools, cottons and leather to ensure the highest boutique standard. The collection is also 90% uni-sex. Most garments are multi-faceted and can be worn a number of ways. The aim for each collection is to encourage the wearer to be more creative with their wardrobe, and to also add their own unique style to each piece, resulting in garments, which can vary, from one person to the next. The pieces are designed to grow with the wearer, and evolve as their style or mood alters. The idea of one continuum collection is evident in this vein, as pieces are timeless, ageless, trans seasonal and genderless.
